The advantages of hot melt lamination
Hot melt lamination is ideal for use in sports footwear, casual footwear and clothing. It can be used for laminating fabrics, polyurethane and polyethylene-based foams, barrier films, waterproof and breathable membranes.
EXCELLENT ADHESION AND WATER RESISTANCE
Laminations with reactive hot melt adhesives feature high adhesion and good hydrolysis resistance.
These characteristics make it possible to wash the laminated materials in water and, after taking the appropriate precautions, also with solvents.
LAMINATION AT GLUE POINTS ONLY OR TOTAL LAMINATION
The adhesive can be applied both in glue points – resulting in soft-feel lamination and greater breathability - and in total coating, depending on the specific needs of the application.
SOLVENT-FREE ADHESIVE
The hot melt adhesive is composed of 100% PU polymer (polyurethane) and is solvent-free (aromatic or water-based).
GRS 4.0 CERTIFIED PRODUCTION PROCESS
Asoltex hot melt laminations are sustainable.
They comply with the Oeko-Tex® 100 Standard and with the GRS 4.0 Regulation (Global Recycled Standard, version 4:2017) for items with recycled components and GRS certified.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
Hot melt laminations are suitable for sports footwear, casual footwear and apparel sectors.
They can be used to laminate - in addition to PU (polyurethane) and PE (polyethylene) fabrics and foams - barrier films, waterproof membranes and breathable membranes (including, for example, Osmotex Light).
